Yup, A long time ago when Yugo's were selling cheap I got a really nice forced matched 59/66A1. Near new looking with a few stock dings but little else wrong with it. I cleaned most of the cosmo off and lightly sanded the stock and re-oiled it with linseed.
But the real bubba massacree happened when an ignorant (me) decided he didn't like the grenade launcher on it. So, drill, file, and punches in hand I proceeded to remove, without any grace or dignity, the grenade launcher with the rifle laying safely in my lap.
Obviously....it didn't go good.
As an old guy that spent years working in and fabricating in the construction trades I can do the dumbest things and drilling hardened steel in my lap was right up there!
And now, after joining this forum (again?) I see the error (the too late to return to the party error) of my ways.
Idle hands are the devils workshop, is what my Grandmother used to say to me all the time.
So the devil made me do it!
I can't post pictures right now because I had a major malfunction dealing with some pictures in cloud storage and it ate all my data allowance for this month. I connect with my cell phone so I have a finite amount of data before they slow me down to KBs. Right now speedtest is telling me I'm getting a 39ms pingback, a download of .79Mbps, and an upload of .58Mbps. I can run this to you faster.
