My newest SKS purchase
« on: March 09, 2021, 08:17:15 PM »
Just walked into my LGS today on a whim. Came across a pristine, 95+%  M59/66 Cherry's GSO Import. The bluing on this is amazing. I couldn't pass it up for $450. I'll post pics tomorrow when I have some better light.

Steelmonkey found a Yugo at the price of a January 2020 Yugo, congratulations. Thankfully the whole country hasn't gone completely mad!. Can't wait to see it.

That's a really beautiful refurb (like 99.9% of Yugoslavians) with an unusual beech stock and elm handguard  8) That would have even been a good price a year ago and it's a total steal this year  thumb1

I concur on what others have said.  In that condition on GB you would have probably paid 800+  Great catch.

Looks super clean, well done
My Avatar is a pic of the real "Ghost" SKS in honor of xxxsks(joe). It is a pic of a fully decked out SKS in Capco hunter's kit. This was mine, the only other pic I had ever seen of one was Joe's.

Very nice!
I love my Cherry's....it was my first Yugo. It cost me just fifty bucks less than yours...seven years ago! This was top dollar for a Yugo back then, the consignor tripled his money. You certainly got a steal for this one in this bizarre bazaar of a gun market these days.

The rub is once you have had one...it's very hard to be impressed with any other Yugos, and suddenly you feel as if you should have white gloves nearby.  I feel bad when I have to handle it for dusting purposes.  :-[

LOL, so true about the white glove thing. Before I put it in the safe, for now, I wiped it all down with a fresh new Hilton Hotel wash cloth.

Yea, OCD  :)
