I picked this up along with a .22 trainer earlier this year. All matching numbers and looks to be in original condition.   I love the bluing on it. She must have been a real beauty when she came off the line. The machine work is as good as any Russian I've had.

That's a nice Romy Bears!  thumb1

I agree about the machine work being every bit as good as a Russian on these.  If they only had some nicer wood, I suspect these would be the hot SKSs to collect.

Awesome, good looking guns! What's the chances of us getting a review on the .22, she's a real looker?!

I kind of hate to use the term "tackdriver" but the .22 really is. It has a nice heavy barrel. The only problem is the magazine. The spring is weak so now it's a four shot. I need to order one from liberty tree one of these days.

I agree about the wood. They should have gotten the Russian's recipe for shellac.

Love em both!

The mags are likely not going to last for ever, pretty surprised they are available at all actually.  I dont have one of those 22s but it just seems like one of those deals where you better get em while you can.   8)

Pretty sure the standard russian shellac is pretty basic. Get some Dewaxed GARNET here, and mix with Denatured Alcohol.
