Its a comparison of different calibers and what they can hunt.

M=Bullet weight in grams
Vo= Velocity in Meters/second
Eo= Energy in Joules

That's a pretty cool chart, does it say what the difference between the black animal pics and the brown?
My Avatar is a pic of the real "Ghost" SKS in honor of xxxsks(joe). It is a pic of a fully decked out SKS in Capco hunter's kit. This was mine, the only other pic I had ever seen of one was Joe's.

Based on the calibers and what is colored what.  Black means don't even try, Brown means dinner.
54r seems to be pert dern deadly.

Yes that is correct. But I have seen Moose And Red Deer taken with 7.62x39 on many Russian hunting pages.

That makes sense although, I would disagree a little as to what the x39 can take at a given distance. But that's just 'cause I feel like being contrary today. :P rofl rofl

I like stuff like that.

From freshman physics:
Eo ("E naught") = energy at the origin (energy at the muzzle)
Vo = velocity at the origin (muzzle velocity)

I'm curious about the 5.6x36mm cartridge. Must be one of those unique Russian non-military cartridges required by the very restrictive modern Russian gun laws.

I personally am looking to try to reverse engineer some of those rounds for my own wildcat rounds. Mainly 8x54r or 9x54r

I wonder If that is a miss label for 5.6x39 also known as .220 Russian the parent case for the x39 and many others? ReBadge? Or a modified version of it?

I don't know. .220 Russian still has a case length of 39mm. I suppose the 36 could be a typo for 39.

I find the SKS very effective on medium sized game at typical ranges around here.It's flatter shooting than a win. 30-30.

"5,6x36" could stand for "5.6x36R", a European designation of 22 Hornet.

The Hornady 30-30 Leverevolutions equalled that playing field. That ammo has impressed me, even the 45-70 Leverevolutions are pretty impressive.
