Refinished stocks and photo copies.... oh my!
-
I am the buyer of said Chinese SKS -
I like it - It has provenance for me back to the 80s -
-
What's the story on the gun Saigon? Do you know the buyer or perhaps the guy mentioned in the papers? I like the gun quit a bit but I was surprised at the final bid. What drew you to this one?
-
I knew the fella that originally acquired it back in the early 80s -
His collection went up for sale and a few colletors had a chance at it back in the early 90s -
So to me the copies are not a deal breaker as we knew they were copies way back then -
I had to come back to edit my post -
I've been buying a few SKSs and got this one mixed up with another out of the same fella's collection from the 80s -
The collector kept hand written inventory back in the 80s -
Now to find the Russian that is on the same captured docs - Wish me luck!
