What models are these?
« on: October 16, 2017, 11:24:30 PM »
I have a SKS which I believe to be an export model. It will accept a AK-47 magazine with some side to side play, however, it will not accept a Chinese (Arsenal 26 marked) 75 round drum. Can anyone tell me what model of SKS this is? I also have one chambered in 5.56X45m/m as well and would like to know the correct model number for this one as well. Both are in like new condition and have completely matching serial numbers throughout. Many thanks.

James

Photographs of your carbine and the markings would be very helpful.

I agree with P32, pics would definitely help.  And welcome to the forum!

Definitely need to see pics, as it could be one of 9 different models.

A drum mag will not fit any sks with a factory stock. You'd have to notch the stock for the drum.

Would love to see the 5.56 sks as well. I have a few in the commercial database.

I will get some close up pictures of both as soon as I can. At the moment I seem to have more irons in the fire than there is room in the fire for.  :))
