Non-Refurbed 1954 Ivhezsh sks. Saved from being melted down.
« on: February 25, 2017, 04:24:01 PM »
1954 ivhezsh sks all matching numbers.  I.O. NC 7.62x39 china import markings Russian sneak in the chinese batch. I got it disassembled in a box luckily with no missing parts. With some yugo parts for yes $80.00. The older guy was sure the barrel was bad because he could barely keep it on paper at 100 yards. And he won't sell a bad gun and was going to call the police for yes disposal. I offered to buy it for parts or a project with a singed sales receipt.
He said sure hows $50.00 sound. Turned out to be that he never fired in the original stock still caked in dirty cosomoline . He had it in the tapco with a tech rear sight now on his pride and joy camo painted yugo. Asked if i wanted the left over yugo parts i had $80.00 on me he was happy to get rid of it all. A good clean and the barrel is great. Only had time to shoot it a little at 50 yards no problem. And the yugo parts fixed up mixed matched yugo. I think the problem was  the tapco stock or the tech sight.

That's a really nice one fleetwrench!!  You typically don't see a Russian SinoBanian with a matching receiver cover and a matching original stock like that.   $80 is outright highway robbery.  SinoBanians in any condition run $300 all day and Russian SinoBanians go $100 more than that. An all matching Izhevsk in this condition could easily top $600 to the right buyer.  Very nice indeed!

If you get a chance and don't mind, please post up a photo of the import stamp, receiver cover takedown lever, and the bayo lug and I'll be able to enter this one into the master survey.  thumb1

It'll be interesting to see how she shoots in original config with a proper cleaning.  It could be that all the aftermarket stuff was ill fitting and simply didn't agree with it.  thumb1

What the heck!! Is it 1988 again?? That's one sweet score. Staked bayo too. That's definitely one for the books. PAX
