Good looking NR, however it came from the factory. The stock is pretty much identical to the two "M" stocks that I have. But that doesn't mean anything absolute when it comes to the commercial Chinese SKS', for sure. If you have the original box for the NR, does it by chance have any tags or nomeclature on it that identifies it? Sometimes the smallest things help in clearing up theories.
The stock on the NR that
GM posted was probably the most comfortable, ergonomic of all the Thumbhole stocks, in my experience. My opinion only. I had a SKS-63 with that stock on it and liked how it felt.
Anybody have any theories or WAG's as to what the "NR" stood for? I know the "D" was supposed to designate "Detachable", "M" for Monte Carlo, and "MC-5D" for Monte Carlo 5rd Detachable. But "NR", "63", "93"?
