I'm seeing a drop in prices on Russian steel cased stuff. I think the worst of the panic is over, so must the lack of demand for beaters... Hope they'll drop the price again. At 350 I'll bite :)

EDIT: they seem to have at least 1900 of those. Perhaps a new shipment?

My guess would be a combination of saturated market, ammo and polictical futures, and probably some of the stimulus stimulation has wore off.. people are actually having to pay bills once again, and I'm sure the summer season and vacations after bunking up for a year tapped out most.  Plus the cost of living has slowly risen.. gas has gone up.. food and other stuffs.
I'm going to make him an offer he can't refuse......

Leave the gun, take the cannoli.

I read a report (can't find it again or I'd post it) about September sales coming in *way* lower than expected and mfgr's hitting a wall.  It may very well be that higher resource prices are finally able to slow down even the relatively inelastic demand for firearms.  Hope it at least leads to stock available in retail outlets.  It sucks seeing the same old uselessness available all the time but anything I would even consider buying long gone with no anticipated re-stock date. cry1

I wonder if some are returned rifles.

Buds now sells them too for 430 shipped plus tax. So all these must be part of the new shipment.

PSA's policy of not accepting FFL-03s would result in the addition of $75 in taxes and transfer fees on a $399 semiauto, so they'll continue to lose my business. I'd probably bite at $399 and free shipping to my home address, just to sniff the Cosmoline, but instead of business I'll just send love  fart1 to PSA  chuckles1

In my case, tax and transfer will cost me about $55. I am debating if it's better to pay a bit more ($40-$50) to get a decent shooter from the same or earlier import batch from GB. At least I can see some pics and not completely a crap shoot.

For 530 shipped you can one form Axis Arms where you can see what you're getting. I think recent PSA price pressure will have Matt lower his prices too.

PSA did take my C&R for the Carcano's and Breda... They do charge tax, though. Buds as well...

EDIT: I now see that the explicitly state they won’t ship sks to C&R holders. Not cool.

I agree...   thumb1

The higher SKS prices in the recent past, has gotten them drug out of every corner on earth and brought here, so they can be sold at high prices.  Now the market has cooled off and the supply is very good - plenty of them online and resales on gunbroker.

Plus a few guys might be worried about cheap steel cased Russian ammo no longer coming in and could be selling.

All of these issues create lower prices.......

On the other hand, Axis Arms charges shipping, unless you can do local pick up, but you'll have to pay OH sales tax.

The same batch of rifles has worn 499, 399, and now 429 price tags from PSA alone.
Seems they're having some trouble figuring pricing in the current market environment.  wacko1
