Added a couple more russian (for the most part) arms to the collection this week. A 1942 Sako M39 on a 1914 Tula receiver. The 1952 Tula got picked up so I don't get tempted to put any rounds through that '57 "as-issued" I have. Only thing it needs is a blade. The stock is force matched but it's in really nice shape.

Nice! Love the Finns, especially the M39 bat1

I’ve heard so much praise over the years I had to see for myself. Luckily this one popped up not too far. Got it for $625. Not too bad when looking at ones on gb, but I had to have it for the stock alone.

That is a nice stock. The post-war refurbished M39s in the square finger groove birch stocks often look like new.

The receiver is actually an Izhevsk, there was a bit of oil in the rest of the bow. The bolt show's nothing unusual, but I can't find any reference to the trigger guard markings. The only manufacture mark on the trigger guard is an R in a shield. My first thought was Remington I've just always seen that as a circle mark. I might just not be looking hard enough. The follower assembly is Tula mfg.
