That's what they make petition's for. wink1   I forgot you were in a commie state.  :(

It will be interesting to see what the final price ends up to be. Sadly unless I hit the lottery I will never get to play with those kinds of toys either.

I wonder how long the wait will be on the transfer....or if the ATF may consider holding FA transfers until things settle down....this will be fun to watch from afar.

Heck of a time for a seller currently though...
I have been watching the stellar prices folks are getting for USA duckbills... :o

Super sexy firearm though....I wonder what the story is behind it.

Definitely, I'm sure it'll be astronomical unless the rich people who can afford these are fleeing to their private island retreats rofl Actually, this RIA Premier Auction has been postponed. The Proxibid link was still active but I couldn't find the catalog on the RIA site for the time being. We may have to wait a few months to see the price realized.

Not much communism here in WA or in the US in general. In the US as a whole, 94K out of about 130M votes cast = 0.07% = 7 of 10,000 of the US voting electorate in the 2016 Presidential election if you combine all four Socialist and Communist parties that put forth a candidate. In WA we're more renowned (at least on my side of the state) for the White (False Christian) Nationalists (i.e., racists) in the northeast corner of the state that abuts northern Idaho.

There are a lot of unconstitutional, racist/elitist and ineffective gun laws here, and in the nation, like the whole NFA that these fall under, which was totally elitist/classist, and hence racist, when it was first conceived. Viz, a $200 tax stamp in 1934 is $3900 in 2020 dollars, according to a CPI calculator, very elitist in intent  fineprint

I've voted against, and signed petitions to overturn the last Initiative, I-1639, and attended rallies against the last crop of legislative bills, the most egregious of which died. That's enough said without having to split this off and post in the Politics sub-forum, a section that I really prefer to avoid  rofl

I'd love to know the story. Undoubtedly a Vietnam bringback, like the North Korean SKS, but beyond that, I have no idea.

P.S. Bob, I don't mean to pick on you in particular, so apologies for that. Nearly everyone misuses the terms "commie" or communist. I just see it so frequently, and being a scientist that likes facts and proper terminology whether it's for firearms or political and economic systems, they've become terms that annoy me.

  thumb1 No problem I didn't take offense.

I do use that term "generically" (and I know it's not correct but...) for those states that like to trample on peoples rights because they have an agenda, don't understand something or care about facts.

Current high bid is at $14,000.00. I wish I had an "extra" 20 Grand. I'd play in that sandbox for that particular piece. If it would sell around 15-20G, it wouldn't be that bad of a buy.

Never really knew much about the Class 3 rules on repairs, though. If a person bought that, would any repairs or replacement parts have to be original North Korean parts? Or would just any old (correct) Kalashnikov parts be allowed? Details, details...

$63,250 cash price ($55,000 bid) or $65,175 if the buyer had to use a credit card..."Put that on my AMEX Palladium Card."  chuckles1 No, it most definitely, absolutely was not me.

That's about right for a fully transferable assault rifle. There is only a finite amount of them in the registry and likely getting fewer every year it's been closed since 1986.There are registered FCGs that can be legally built into fully functional weapons as well. You could always go to a machine gun shoot to scratch the itch for full auto though. That's a lot of fun too or if you have friends or corporate govt contractors with "sales samples" that need to be evaluated.

Yeah, my 60K guess back on March 23rd wasn’t too far off.

There’s a dealer here who has sales examples for LEOs but only rarely has fundraising shoots. One of these days I’ll get around to trying a full auto.

Full auto is fun to play around with a time or two. Once the novelty wears off it’s not really that fun or interesting. Cool rifle though.

If you are skilled you can bump-fire a MAK90 or similar AK with the slick double-hook trigger to fire really fast and have a lot of fun at the sand pit.But wear heavy leather gloves. The brass pins in the wooded upper handguard get really hot.
