I had no intention of buying another SKS, but this one came up. Price was right($404.00 US), lived within driving distance and was still packaged in cosmoline. Another factor was the low serial number 23 002052 compared to my other 78 - 23 092809.

Was it one of the un-issued 23/24 million Factory 26 SKS recently imported to Canada?

Bayonet screw staking is very interesting.
