Does the bayonet quick-detach from the bayonet lug?

The rivet in the lug (instead of a standard head screw) suggests that the bayonet may be one lf the rare quick release variants.

Beautiful man, really clean gun!!  I'll put it in the arsenal components configuration section.

So, is it a pin or just a weird tool mark?

Delayed return flight - weather.
BB, bayonet is quick release, push thru pin.
JH, which mark are you referring to?
RM, glad it made the components section!
Tks!

The weird dimple or divot in the area where the receiver and barrel meet.  Many thought it might be a press fit pin, though it could simply be a consistent stamping in that location.  Hard to tell from the original auction photos, but it looks like all (9186) guns have *something* in that area.   thumb1

Close magnifying glass look: definitely not a pin. Here's the opposite side of the bayonet release - missed it. (for the component list)

There's zero bayo hang, nice tight fit. Pin is very snug.

This one GM.

Matchka, I think we are talking about two different things.  The bayo is riveted, but is the barrel pinned into the receiver?  I think it's a simple dimple above the 12 on the receiver round from the photos he's posted...

Odd spot for a pin... this is what comes to mind when I hear pinned barrel. I thought it was a short shank threaded barrel which is why it had the flats like a normal threaded barrel, and that spot was like a....funky acceptance or proof stamp.

I'm going to make him an offer he can't refuse......

RM, my fault for the confusion - I was referring to the GM's observation on the bayonet 'rivet'. I used the word 'pin'. The rivet is snug, can be popped out with a good thumb push but snug up real tight when replaced. First time I've come across a rivet like this one.
Magnified inspection confirms it is 100% a "dimple" above the '12'.

BB, bayonet is quick release, push thru pin.

The quick detach bayonets are not released by pushing out the rivet in the bayonet lug. For the quick release, the bayonet hafts  are modified like these:

But, looking at your photos again, I realize that the bayonet handle isn't modified.
