Yay, finally the Commercial section is getting some love! Great looking CC carbine!! Do you have the type 89 scope mount to go on it?
Still learning, how do you know its a ghost? I keep looking at all the threads but I'm drinking most of the time..... I need a ghost sticky lol.Love your rifle! Ghost or not!
Nice rifle! I happen to have one that's a ghost as well... Except mine is a 4 digit! Super early, in fact it's one of the earliest ghosts on record.
Wowzers thats cool! Pretty stock.. Pardon my ignorance but did they always fill in the bayo cut out in the stock? Pretty neato!
Ridin,Power Surge is correct. A 'ghost' is simply a 1956-57 produced Chinese Type 56 SKS made before the advent of the /26\ stamp. It's a Cowboy's Companion because that's what Navy Arms branded it as. They added the scope rail, filled the bayo groove in the stock, and neutered the bayo lug. See xxxsks's section in the SKSGuide for more info: http://chinesesks.weebly.com/navy-c-c.html
Actually Navy Arms contracted with the Chinese to modify these rifles for them. They were imported in the configuration seen in the op's pic. .........................Joe
