An interesting non-import marked sks
« on: December 17, 2022, 02:22:42 PM »
I recently picked up an interesting non-import marked sks to add to my collection.  Moderators feel free to move this.  I wasn't sure exactly where to post it!

Nice. Looks bringbackish to me. PAX

Very interesting! Russian barreled-receiver with the remainder a mix of Chinese parts. I would have guessed it was a Sino-banian import, but if there are no import marks anywhere then a Vietnam bring-back is certainly plausible.

Thanks.  i thought it was fun that the bolt carrier and receiver cover were in the NVA serial number range but from different guns.

Nice!  All the circumstantial evidence definitely points in the same direction towards a VN bringback.

Don't see too many Russian SKS45s that look like this at all!  thumb1

P.S. BTW the features and S/N on this one point to 1955.

Thank you for the info!  This one was just described as Chinese in the auction listing.  i think it was the first time that mis-matched parts actually convinced me to buy it!!
