A Little Something For My Birthday
« on: December 25, 2021, 10:12:07 PM »
Inbound from Idaho. Savage 99E in .30-30, kinda scarce in that caliber.
During my weekly perusing of my LGS circuit, I stumbled across one in the used rack. It was pretty rough with a couple dings on both sides of the receiver, almost in the white, but it had a 24" barrel and was it in .30-30, which I knew was a little rare. So it got me thinking: "Maybe I can find a good one". You know how it goes when you're a C&R junkie. My .308 99F is totally boss. PAX

Congrats on the find, even if it did cause you to slim down your SKS barreled receiver purchase. :)
My Avatar is a pic of the real "Ghost" SKS in honor of xxxsks(joe). It is a pic of a fully decked out SKS in Capco hunter's kit. This was mine, the only other pic I had ever seen of one was Joe's.

That’s a beauty. Lever action and .30-30, a classic American combo.
