Trying to Choose Sling Hardware for Sks Aftermarket Stock

After thinking about it for a while, for the Lucky Shot-made Monte Carlo style walnut stock I obtained for one of my SKS projects, I decided that I wanted to use a new brown oiled M-1907 Military Rifle Sling I have with this stock. However, I don't know what would be the best swivels to get for this sling and what would be the ideal positions for each of the two swivels on said stock. Any advice on swivel hardware and positioning would be appreciated.

It seems like an original spec M1907 sling will be too long. Rear sling swivel in the wood at the bottom but the built in front swivel is on the gas block. I suppose you could put a bottom mount swivel near the front of the foreend, hunting rifle style, but the SKS stock is rather short.

I guess I should maybe reconsider my thoughts on this. Still trying to figure out what would look best, but still fit, for my Monte Carlo style walnut stock that I'm using for this carbine.  All I know is that I want is a leather sling.

I'm sure there are plenty of leather slings on the market in narrow, wide, shoulder padded, etc. that would be a good length that would fit the bill but I don't have any recommendations, since I've never looked and don't know your other preferences beyond being leather. Maybe the M1907 style is adjustable enough to get the right length for an SKS. Again, I've never tried, so I may have spoken out of turn in discouraging that choice

Going through your links, I think I may have found something I liked: The Detroit Leather Shop slings. It is of the style I am going after and the hardware is simple and available. I'll give myself time to think about it. I'll probably wait until my work on the cross bolt I mentioned in another thread is completed.  Thank you for the links though that lead to discovering this.
