Must be the demand maybe? My neighbor just got an AR recently but I don't know what kind and he never said what he paid for it.

I have to admit, I see the "new" M16 parts kit offerings from RTI and it gives me the itch...but I refuse to scratch it  bat1 rofl

I'd like to have a new Colt lower and a new high quality 20" barrel clad in old M16 furniture/upper/most other parts.  But I don't know about dropping $800-1000 on such a project  :-\

I started the RBRD (Retro Black Rifle Disease) with a 1972 Colt M16A1 (603 ) black then a Retro CAR 15 (XM177E2) hybrid with a 11.5 Pencil barrel  and 5 in FH/BRAKE (fake Moderator) with Old School Aluminum CAR stock and 6 hole Hand guards , then an M16A2 20" HBAR clone with Green furniture , then a late 1966 XM16E1 (Gray) , then a 1975 Colt M16A1 (603) gray. I'm currently holding back from another build by wanting a  USGI S&W or Colt 1917 Revolver ...
