Blade bayonet
« on: September 16, 2014, 01:06:46 PM »
The blade for my /26\ 3 mill carbine came in, those rascals are hard to find. It fits perfectly but I don't know if I mounted it upside down or got it right!

Good deal Danny!  I think you got it right.  Sharp side goes up into the stock groove when folded.

Type 56s w/o bayos but with original lugs look naked IMHO.  Dressed yours up nicely.

Very nice!!!    Is there a cleaning rod in its future?    :)

1776 will commence again if you try to take our firearms... It doesn't matter how many Lenins you get out on the street begging for them to be taken.

Thanks running-man, it has always looked naked since I got it, I'm happy now! It is hard to see any detail with these photos, I'm going to get Mary to start taking my photos with her camera.

Yessiree Cannon! John Landis at  http://www.everythingsks.com/  has several at his business not far from here, he found the bayonet for me. If I remember right you told me it takes a 17" or 17¼" so I'll pick one up there soon.

Looks good Danny, I agree the SKS looks weird without the Bayonet. As far as the cleaning rod I believe 17 or 17 1/4 would be correct. I don't know if John charges you freight, but you can usually find surplus sks cleaning rods on ebay or gb for $8-10 shipped.
