norinco mak 90 straight cut
« on: March 24, 2018, 05:19:00 AM »
My chinaman is taking shape.  I'm 6ft5 1/2 so I need adjustable stocks. I'm keeping the wood.  I've had this rifle for about 6 years.  I'm waiting on the grip to come in and I'm gonna order the magpul hand guards in a couple days.

For now Canis Designs m4 adapter. Yeah I'll be threading the barrel.

It's gonna be 922r compliant and I'm going with a red star arms adjustable trigger in it.

It's hard to beat the Chinese AK's for reliability. And they look good, too.

I've been looking for original pre-ban gas blocks and front sight blocks for these critters for a while now.  I'm just too cheap to pay those crazy prices the guys on AK-Files and such are getting for them.

Will you need to pull the FSB in order to thread the barrel?

I doubt it.  This one doesn't look like it's been turned down.

I measured the barrel with my caliper it measures 14.3mm. I should be able to thread it 14x1lh.

This is what it looks like at present.

1. Magpul ak handguards
2. Magpul moe + ak grip
3. Magpul ctr stock
4. Canis designs m4 stock adapter
5. Krebs enhanced safety
6. Red star arms trigger and hammer pin retaining plate

It will have
Red star arms adjustable trigger
CNC warrior hard chromed gas piston
Meridian defense bd2 ak brake

I've got one of the older bulgarian fsb and gas blocks that'll fit right on here.  I'm debating having the hood changed out to those.
