Troy charges 325 to build it and do a kg gunkote over park finish.

I've got about 1,000 in the parts thus far.

Surprisingly the barrel only cost 59.00 shipped and is thus far giving people on the ak files good accuracy.  But I may go cold hammer forged nitrided for 134 on ak builder and save this 59.00 barrel for a spare.

Well it ought to be exactly what you want when it’s done  thumb1

What is “kg gunkote”? I assume it’s not kilogram  rofl

I have an sks Sporter coated in it over parkerizing. It's a pretty tough finish.

Have you used Troy Sellers before? I've heard the name a lot. I was thinking that there was an "In Range" company near Wyandotte, Oklahoma that manufactured forged receivers and built a lot of AK's. (Correction...I was thinking about "Firing Line" in Wyandotte, OK)

I've got quite a few kits to assemble but haven't picked the builder yet. I used to have Armory USA in Dallas, TX (Global Trades) build my Chinese, Bulgarian, and Polish kits, but that was years ago. I don't know the current status with them now.

Is Nodak Spud still making receivers?  I heard they built a great quality receiver, but I also heard they were winding down production. Not sure if that's the case, or not?

Nodak has never made receivers they have and always will be made by McKay/Morrissey.

Childers is better than Nodak, Morrissey, or McKay.

I've never used Troy Sellers but have seen alot of his builds and he's only about 2 hours from my house so he's semi local.
