Mauser Model 1914
« on: January 16, 2018, 09:15:18 PM »
My final one of the trio... a commercial made, post war 4th variant 1914 Mauser, in 32acp/7.65mm.. made between 1923 and 1929. It has the name "Germany" stamped in the right side frame meaning it was intended for export to other nations. Over all for the age it's pretty good, very nice bore, the worst detractor is slide wear on the left side, it looks like it laid somewhere for a while and maybe rubbed the finish off. It has the typical in the white magazine, which is typical for the pistol.

I'm going to make him an offer he can't refuse......

Leave the gun, take the cannoli.

I said I was an addict........I didn't say I had a problem

Nice 1914 GM it was the immediate predecessor of the HSc.  The finish loss was probably because it was either stored in a holster for may years or an old sock both of which attract moisture.

It's impossible not to love a firearm with the Mauser banner on it. I wonder where it's been on its travels.
