Hungarian inspection procedures.
« on: February 07, 2017, 10:39:21 PM »
If you are sad and have no life (like me)  you can get sidetracked by anything on the internet and find some neat (but nerdy) stuff.
This came from a recently declassified cia report from someone who worked at the weapons factory.

I like the last point as it confirms my belief that gun parts were about as unique as lego pieces and too much emphasis is put on matching vs 'force matched'.

Very interesting. Would you happen to still have the link to the whole report?  Did they only talk about Hungary, or were there other iron curtain countries mentioned (Czechoslovakia, Poland, etc)?

Good stuff!  I like seeing the early reports from the 50's, I have several including one of the two early SKS reports but I didn't have the other.

Lots of info on the CIA FOIA site, I'll have to perform some searches when I've got a bit of time to kill. thumb1

SKT-40.... Carbine version... They do exist, pretty rare.

Marstar also made one I believe in the 90s.
I'm going to make him an offer he can't refuse......

Leave the gun, take the cannoli.

I said I was an addict........I didn't say I had a problem

Interesting stuff.   thumb1

1776 will commence again if you try to take our firearms... It doesn't matter how many Lenins you get out on the street begging for them to be taken.
